If you could give it a 5 star rating, that would be HUGELY appreciated! If you don't even own an iPhone/iPod but are willing to pay the 99¢ just to give it a good rating, it would be GIGANTICALLY appreciated! And if you have 100+ watchers and would do a journal entry/review of the game, please contact me with a note and I'll get you a full version absolutely FREE! I guess I'd better limit this offer to the first 10 people who express an interest.

NERDY ARTWORK DETAILS:
The whole "traditional or digital" thing drives me nuts! I drew the outlines by hand and then scanned, vectorized and coloured in Adobe Illustrator. Anyhow, I'm calling it "traditional". Whatever. This is not a real "typeable" font so I have to cut and paste. Luckily it's hardly the sort of thing you would use for large blocks of text anyway. Sorry there's no other numbers but this is all we needed for the game so far! If anyone wants to use it, just send me a note and I'll send you the vector file. I would appreciate a credit and a notification when it's used, please.

THE HISTORY:
Are you too young to recall the "Corpse Uprisings" of the 1950s? It was so traumatic that older relatives may even claim it never happened. The science is complex, but, basically, atomic radiation mixed with toxins from experimental Hula-Hoop plastics, then the unique frequency of "Rock 'n' Roll" vibrated this unstable molecule, creating a substance that raised the dead. The "Former Corpses"*** ate human flesh, so the government created facilities that sold bodies willed to the cause. As teens, your grandparents likely worked at one of these "Diners of the Dead". The plan succeeded and, within a few years, "The Undead" had quietly disintegrated or gone into municipal politics.

*** NOTE: In the '50s, "zombies" meant cadavers reanimated by Voodoo so this new type of beings was officially termed, "Undead". Informal names included, "Casket Dodgers", "Flesh Munchers" or, simply, "Droolers". Such terms are now considered derogatory.

HOW TO PLAY:
PHUNAN GAMES (phunan.com) proudly announces “DINER of the DEAD”, a thrilling and educational iPhone/iPod game commemorating this neglected period of history! Feed the reanimated corpses/customers as fast as you can and don’t let them starve on your premises or the Undead Health Department will shut you down . . . and beware that thieving rat!
